Yellow Beam of Light Part 3
« on: June 23, 2013, 02:45:54 AM »
Continuation of my Yellow Beam of Light in the US V650 forum. The highbeam light is yellow  :1:
It was first the 2008 and later 2010 V650 and having the V1K for a week now.
Calling her VX1 with her 3rd oil change with motoman break-in at 1100km.

The VX1 is great..... :002: Enjoying it  :celebrate:

Obsession in progress....  :031:

Welcome again  :152: I see now the exhaust is a Scorpion, before from a distance it looked just like my Akro.
Nice bike and glad you're enjoying it.

hello capt. once on a Versys (V650), always on a Versys (V1k) i guess. and a third one in a row too. !.
congratulations on your new ride. am on a Duke now, a much lighter bike to the ex-V650.
hope to catch up with you one day. the bad haze is keeping us indoors n curtailing our sunday rides to the hills.

Thanks for the welcome, Guys! The garage is the open air concept type  :001:

Visit Givi this morning to fix the side bag and top case racks. No 52L top case in stock (http://www.givi.it/cases/monokey/TRK52N-TREKKER) but did not fancy the Givi trekker 33 for the side hardbags. Had order earlier the Kappa KGR 33. Looks rugged but also had silver covers. Had the carbon fiber stickers added on to match the scorpion.

Barkbuster with cheap good adjustable levers (http://www.ebay.com/itm/180875318665?_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649&item=180875318665&cmd=ViewItem&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT&vxp=mtr)

Givi trekker 52L top case (http://www.givi.co.uk/cases-top-case/monokey/TRK52N-TREKKER). Look proportional with the bike.

Pretty happy with the tutoro chain oiler with dual feed nozzle (http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/TUTORO-AUTO-Fully-Automatic-motorcycle-chain-oiler-/161052002506?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item257f7288ca)

Using 80W-90 gear oil

Previous V650 Optimate 4 battery connector

Denso horns with relay, fenda extender with was bolted on.

local radiator guard, about 60 GBP$

I notice that you changed screens.

The adjustable screen looks similar to a MRA screen but seems to be a different brand, where did you get it?
