G'Day Francis,

The reason I need a different ring is because the givi bag I have is an old discontinued model (https://www.ghostbikes.com/2363-givi-silver-range-easy-lock-tank-bag-(t480).html. My brother gave me this when he sold his Versys 650.

Nothing is wrong with it. Still in good shape.  :001:

Went to the bike shop yesterday to look closer at the Shad 58X.

Saw my old flame in new colours  :001:

This is a bloody great Bike....!

Thanks for sharing Steve.

I see that you have removed the Kawasaki 'Sliders' presumably to facilitate the fitting of the Givi bars

I also notice that the Givi bars fit well without any fouling with the Kawasaki Fog/driving lights .... did you have to make any adjustments   ?

Are the Givi bars part number TN4126  ?

Hello Rog,

Yes, had to remove them Kawasaki sliders. They came standard with the bike at an additional cost by Kawasaki. A money-making scheme, I believe.  :004: as only the GT package are sold here.

Beside being clamped to the existing frame, part of it is also bolted to the frame. Hence, not able to be clamped to this new Givi engine guards without some serious mods.

Did not fix these guard up, the Givi technician did so but saw he did not have to tamper with the fog lights. Took about an hour as a few bits to take off to fix up.

Yes, correct, part no is TN 4126. Had ordered this earlier from Italy but the dealer told me he is still awaiting shipment from Givi. Hence, I cancelled my order there and got it here from Givi Malaysia. understand this is so far the only TN 4126 here.

Look solid and well made.  :001:

Thanks Steve  :762:

I have Givi bars in the past and they are very substantial, plus they fit well

Fixing the givi guards caused me to remove the oem kawasaki sliders that came standard with the bike. As I can't sell it here anyway, reinstalled it as footrest.

 :039: Francis.

Passed mileage 10K.  Just changed back to the reusable oil filter mentioned by Weljo (Joseph).  Few years of use on the other past versys and well paid it's worth.
