Nice fix on the hinge , i noticed that you have added a strut on too and between the panniers , did you have any issues or is this just a further support to them

Hi Keener,

The intention for the strut between the panniers were to have anchor points for my straps for my working bag on the back seat. Have to agree the do provide additional support for the panniers.

Thanks.

My wife still doesn't know I took that strut from her stainless steel clothes hanger stand  :756:

Was interesting to see the tires recorded and maintained a 4 psi increase during the hot day rides. 👍

Steve, what's your opinion regarding the Givi engine bars now that they have been fitted for a month or so...?

I see from the pictures that you fabricated some brackets in order to re-attach the Kawasaki Sliders

Hi Rog,

Yes, reinstalled the oem sliders on the givi engine guards. No issues on handling.

Givi guard sturdy, well made and fits well. No issues and like the protection it can give at the lower side of the engine compared to the others.

Rode back in rain in the twisty. Mingle with 3 RT and V handled well on the Racetec01  :028:

Cheers Steve, I have been considering the Givi bars for a while now, so might take the plunge  :002:

You had me confused there (it's easy I know) when you said your tyres were Racetec 01, I think they are Roadtec 01 ... I had these tyres on my last Versys 1000 and they were outstanding, but I was comparing them against the earlier Bridgestones , my current bike has the later spec Sport Tourer T31R Bridgestones which are an improvement over the earlier spec tyres.

When I'm due to change I think I will go for Metzeler Roadtec01 again as they are an excellent tyre that I prefer

G'Day Rog,

You are correct, it is roadtec01.  :11: Also good, they are cheaper than the OEM T31R here. Yes, agreed T31R have improved over the previous. :028:

For the kawasaki oem sliders, am waiting for an additional part to fix on  :015:

Take care  :001:
