The moustache winglet gives a fierce grrrr look, Francis.

The previous additional rear red brake light had given way. Only transparent ones now are left. Cost usd 3.

I have been looking at one of those myself as my Neotec 1 is now 6 years old, it's still working ok and has been very good but I subscribe to the view that 5-6 year old helmets should be changed ( now scratching head and waiting for responses from other forum members  :008: )

Steve do you plan to install a comms set up ?  the new Neotec design only seems to provide for a Sena SRL system and maybe doesn't allow fitment of other Sena units like my SMH 10

I like the design you have chosen  :028:

Yes, Shoei warranty is 5 years. Guess  a new one is on the way  :002:

Bought some time back the 1st neotec 2 with Sena SRL.

https://www.versys1000.com/index.php/topic,12733.msg218306.html#msg218306

Read that Shoei had designed the Neotec 2 in a wind tunnel for smooth aerodynamic quiet reasons. Guess why the Sena SRL had been integrated into the helmet to keep the fitments off the helmet.

I think I have not used the SRL as it should. Riding solo so no intercoms and prefer the way better sound quality from the in ear-phone.

I have bought a GT Air 2 with integrated Sena comms system in spring and, after using it for a few months, I must say I am very disappointed.
I paid it more than twice the previous Nolan N86 and, despite some better finishes, I didn't notice any appreciable difference. Indeed, the closure of the visor of Shoei is imperfect.
Furthermore, Nolan N-Com system is much easier to use than Sena and the sound quality is better. Not to mention the radio built into the Sena system: absurdly difficult to use and with very bad sound.
In short, Shoei  :151:

I have had no problems with my Neotec 1 which I have owned for 6 years, the fit is good (for me) and the helmet has performed perfectly throughout

I have used a Sena SMH 10 dual on the helmet which has had a few issues but nothing serious

Interesting to read your comments vespista, thank you  :028:
