Was offshore at work. Normally I help move them MODU (Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit) but this time went as a marine warranty surveyor. Just got back and time to ride.

Enjoy!

Hi Stlee, your picture's report is unbelievable! It remind me the  time I was working in a bunker under ground. Same desks and room's area and canteen too! I suppose it's hard to live too much time off shore!

Thanks for your super pictures!!

Hi Francis, Glad to share...  :001:

I would think working underground would be scary. Confined spaces and hazardous environment indeed.

Covid has caused havoc for the Guys onboard offshore as borders have been closed. A few Brits and Aussies have been stuck for months now. Working on  4 weeks on/off, they have to stay in hotels when ashore. I hope They can get back to be with their loved ones soon.

It's the monsoon now but we were blessed with a good weather window to move the rig to her new location.

I am rewarding myself with a thigh pouch bag. Cost a tad above 10 USD and never used one before. Worth  a try - https://shopee.com.my/%F0%9F%98%AEBig-Promotion-%F0%9F%98%AELeg-Waist-Thigh-Pouch-Outdoor-Motorcycle-Running-Casual-Waterproof-motorcycle-bag-i.137920133.2278587511

Steve your pictures are truly spectacular, thank you for sharing them with us

What are the cone shaped objects pointing forwards and skywards at each side of the bridge in the first picture ?

I'm impressed by just how clinically clean the working and eating environments are.....

Brilliant pictures..thanks

Glad You like them, Rog.

Think you are meaning are the two exhaust outlets from the main engines (port - left and starboard - right). Each engine is about 5400 hp made by Bergen, part of the Rolls Royce group. This vessel has a maximum bollard pull of 150 MT. These boats' primary roles are to tow and later position the rig at her new location.

Yes, high hygiene standards to maintain. Food onboard is excellent with 6 meals daily. Round the clock to feed the 150 people onboard.

Malaysia now having a record 4 digit Covid numbers wave which is caused by the stupidity of her leaders. Think it's a good idea to quarantine them first  :008: :008: :008:

Yes, Francis and All. Take care and God Bless!
