Hello,
my new versys (700kms on the clock) has a small oil leak near water pump.
It seems to be from a hole to breath... it is possible?
tks
regards
Telmo

That is no oil, its Antifreeze liquid. Was the same at my bike after 4000km. Go to the dealer. He must replace the seals in the waterpump.

Hello Again,
I already saw the post about Antifreeze.. But in my versys the liquid seem to be oil due to the colour and texture.
There are a hole behind the water pump where this liquid came from. Is this possible?
Regards

Take it in for warranty service as others have stated. I just had mine done. My leak started out with a blue puddle under the water pump. As I put more miles on the bike, the leak began to seal on its own (this does happen sometimes). At 700 miles the leak was almost gone, but still leaking just enough to leave a little moisture on my finger when I touched the weep hole. The dealer said they weren't going to play with it and replaced the pump seals, gaskets etc. Several hundred miles later there is nothing leaking out.
There is a driveshaft that comes off the crankshaft that drives both the water pump and oil pump. They have to replace all the seals and gaskets on both the oil pump side and the water pump side. If your fluid is not blue, it may have some oil leaking out the weep hole.
Take it in for service and let the warranty do its thing.

Did you ever get the bike to the dealer? Is it still leaking? Just curious to see if it has been corrected.

Hello,
today I went to the dealer in order to accomplish 1000Kms service.
the liquid leak almost gone!
I agreed to keep using the bike in order to see the evolution of the leak.
I will post any news about this issue.
Thanks

Good to hear. Sometimes the leak stops on its own. Mine was almost gone by first service. I was going to wait also, but the dealer wanted to fix it, so he did. After several hundred miles, I have no leaks at all.
If it doesn't go away completely, you should have them replace the seals and gaskets in the pump.
Thanks for the update, hope all goes well.

Hello ppl,
About this issue my versys was fixed in a dealer service.
They changed was the seals and gaskets in water pump and oil pump.
It seems ok now.
The bike has 2100Kms.
