Since the ZX14 wheel is heavier it is going to make the bike handle slower. You may loose the quick light feel when turning into and out of corners.

The difference in weight is ~3lbs

On a bike that weights as much as the Versys, the difference isnt that big, even if its part of the rotating mass. I honestly cant tell the difference.

Especialy not when loaded like this:

Woodman; I thought about that, but didn't know if it would be significant enough to notice.  Is the ZX wheel pounds heavier?

The Zx14 guyz claim 3lbs weight saving buy swapping to our wheel.

3lbs. is quite a bit since it is unsprung weight, the absolute worst place to add weight. If you can't feel it then I guess it does not matter.
I can tell a difference when I switch to a heavier tire.

So I guess the question you have to ask yourself is: Do you want light and weak or heavy and strong?

Had my ebay used zx14 wheel installed today with new tires. Fits perfectly and you'd never know unless you knew.  :008:
