thks  tall-mike i have done so on other bikes as well..  15/43 is stock so perhaps a 40/41 tooth rear should be the same  as a 16 tooth front, in either case a 200 to 300 rpm difference should be evident ...yes ur correct shifting up from sixth should disappear .. not sure what rpm i am at, in sixth at  120 kph +  i will check the Tach again tomorrow when i go for a ride... or check this site.
