Tapatalk to be killed off

Tapatalk users please note that we will be killing the app off in the near future.

It might have some benefits as a normal member but from our perspective it's becoming a right pain in the rear. Tapatalk are now denying us access to some basic fundamental forum settings that we can no longer control and we're really not comfortable with that. Yes we can have that control back but guess what there's a monthly ongoing fee involved. Well sorry but it feels like we are being held to ransom just to control how our own forum works. In a word they can jump (the polite expression  ).

Their argument is that they pay us commission for the advertising that they show on the app. Well last month they paid us 0.39 US cents which is rediculous.

We've got no problem working in conjunction with third parties where the arrangement is fair but they really are taking the preverbial.

Hopefully we'll try and port our own mobile solution over onto this site at some point so at least it'll be a bit more friendly on phones/tablets.

I get confused with the Tapatalk app anyway (although that's not hard sometimes with me). Keep up the great work on the forum

Is tatpatalk going to be killed of on other forums you own or is it just this one ☺ On my mobile I have given up using it as the screen is so full of adverts now so I can understand your anoyance with them. 👍
