Photobucket users take note !

Thought most people were aware of this but maybe not, so here's an update around Photobucket. If you are a Photobucket user then take note:

We have been caching PB images for "up to" a month so many images on the site are still showing.

However when this expires then you are likely to see the now "infamous" image below that is appearing all over the net on forums and similar sites:



Because of this we ask that you do NOT use Photobucket images in your posts on the forum. Unless you have the $399 account at Photobucket then your images will eventually disappear and be replaced by the one above. They might be showing at the moment but this will change.

This also applies to TinyPic as they are wholly owned by Photobucket.

Also Imgur are about to change their t&c's as well from next week. Quite possibly more will follow suit 

Existing images in Posts

If you have posted Photobucket images in posts that have important info and you still have access to your Photobucket account, then we'll be happy to edit and update your post.

Just send us a pm with the details 

New forum Photo Gallery

It's quite likely we'll be adding a photo hosting solution of our own which will rival Photobucket and be far better. It'll be free to members and eventually take over from the current forum gallery. More on that later

I haven't used the site gallery much, if at all really, have any changes/improvements now been made to the forum gallery   

Sorry if I have missed any updates in this context, but I have to be honest and admit that when it comes to resizing images etc I'm a bit of a Muppet and so tend not to post pictures at all      

Photobucket was so easy and free, I guess that's why it wasn't going to last forever

Not yet, the Gallery will eventually be like the new one on the Versys forum. Quite busy at the moment but it will get updated
