I agree, but does it fit CB's 2012 model? there have been some changes to the screen, not sure if it's the brackets though.

Can't answer that, I have a '15.  I'd contact Motowerk.

That seems to a popular unit.   I like the Moto Werk GPS mount. However, the Moto Werk website says "Our Universal Over-the-Clocks GPS Mount KV1000LT was designed to complement the 2015 - 2017 Kawasaki Versys 1000 shape of the dashboard and its windscreen".

My Versys is 2012. I contacted Moto Werk. They said the Versys was not introduced to the US till 2015, which is why their GPS mount is designed for 2015-2017 Versys. They don't think their unit will fit my 2012 Versys. Any idea if the shape of the dashboard and windscreen changed from 2012 to 2015?

It would appear the 2012-2014 Versys takes a different GPS mount that the 2015-2017 Versys.  SW Motech shows two different GPS units for these years.  http://shop.sw-motech.com/en/by+products/Navigation/GPS+mount/index.htm?action=quickstart&urlpfad=en/by+products/Navigation/QUICK-LOCK+GPS-Mount&artnum=index

Hi Vincent - It seems that between the SW Motech and the Moto Werks, since I have a 2012 Versys 1000 the only choice I have is SW Motech.  That's okay, it looks functional and good on your bike.  I just want to make sure of a couple of things.  One, does it affect your view?  Two, does it impede access to the ignition?  Three, does it impede access to anything else on the dashboard?

Also, is the cradle is hot when the bike is on (meaning the GPS unit turns on when it is put into the cradle)?  If that is correct, how do you have the cradle wired to your bike?

Thanks.

From the view you can see at this Canadian site (who rep SW-Motech) - mark your screen with cardboard block in the size of your GPS - and see whether the view suits you....

SKU: GPS.08.646.10500.B

And all the stuff they have for your model http://www.twistedthrottle.ca/shop-by-bike/kawasaki/versys-1000-12

I currently have an old Garmin CX60 handheld on a RAM mount on the left mirror mount - but I will switch to the one above if Santa brings me new GPS.
