De-cat pipes for sale
« on: December 15, 2017, 05:25:14 PM »
£85 Inc postage/packing to UK.
£95 Inc postage/packing to USA/Canada.

Should have these ready to go out end of next week. Anyone wanting one please say so on here then pm me your postal address and saying it's a de-cat pipe you want.
I'll let you know my PayPal address, but don't pay until I've got them boxed up ready to go, I'll say when.
I've a video of the one fitted to my bike so email me and I'll send you it so you can view it. Mines a 2015 bike, but I can't see why it won't fit the earlier model.
Though I've not tried it yet,  it should be possible to fit the standard silencer if so needed.
The easiest way to cut the cat off is to remove the whole system. It's double skinned where you need to cut, if you only cut the outer skin all the way round , (leaving the inner bit still attached to the cat) ,  just in front of the welds the rest of the cat will pull out from the front pipes. Otherwise you will need to pull it out separately.

Floyd, you mentioned that your mate would do a ride in, ride out fitting. I'd quite like to do that, if possible. Be after Xmas now, but can you let me know if that's possible please?
Cheers,
Phil

I am considering the idea of trying to get rid of the pre-muffler but retaining the CAT itself. When some of my fellow Americans cut theirs off, might you sell me the toaster so that I can disect it and see how feasible it is?

PM sent
You live more in five minutes on a bike like this going flat out than some people live in a lifetime.

Quick update.
Spoke to the guy I've got making them today.  He's inundated with other work so he's doing them between his other work in order to keep the cost down.
Some were supposed to be with me by the beginning of Jan so apologies for the delay.  I've ordered an initial batch of 12 , hopefully I can sell them all as I'll be paying for them upon completion.
Those that have already emailed me I've still got your details and I'll be in touch as soon as I receive the pipes.
I've just posted the first one out today, this was one he made for me to check it fits etc, as it fits my bike perfectly I've sent it out.
Hopefully not long now.

got my pipe yesterday and installed it today...its a beautifully done work of art....and fits perfectly...

took the exhaust off...this takes about 10 minutes with the proper tools

cut just behind the weld all the way around and pull the pipe apart.......I just used a hacksaw and it was very easy...maybe 8 minutes with a good blade...

here you can see the catalyst..

remove any burrs and test fit the pipe..its easier to do this with the header off the bike..

thats pretty much it...once you have it all fitted, reinstall the header only but leave the bolts loose.... get it in position, install the decat pipe and the end can...and tighten everything up making sure it stays where is should as you tighten the bolts.
