New Guy

Hello from Nor Cal!

This looks like a great forum for info and more.  :37:   I am considering a Versys as a second bike.

I have been riding those blingy whale sized Amarican bikes for many years. The wife is no longer riding so it makes sense, at least to me  :002:, to get a lighter athletic bike for 1up when hitting the twisties.

Welcome  to the forum.    You  may just change your  mind  regarding a Versys being used as a second  bike. They  are  a great  bike. You will  be amazed  at how  good  the big V is. Have you  test  ridden  one . If you do get to own  one I hope that you  enjoy  it.   Cheers  Geoff.

There are a good number of graduates from blingy whales on the Versys 1000. Get in a good test ride and you will see what we have here.

There is a steady stream of riders coming down from the whales and up from the 650 class of sport-tourers. Also, laterally from other liter class sport tourers... V1K riders are on to something. About that, 99% of us agree, making something of a big happy family. :031:

Welcome along Lurker.

Good luck with your quest to get yourself a Versys 1000, which really is a surprising bike in the best possible way.

This forum is the best place for good information and a mixture of fun too   :biker1:

  Geoff.

Have not test ridden yet. Read many reviews and being 6'2" makes it easier to narrow down the choices.

The versys being a primary bike has crossed my mind.    :biker1: :biker1: :biker1:
