Side Stand Pad Fitting...
« on: January 10, 2018, 06:36:16 PM »
... the foot print of the side stand is very small. I am looking for a pad fitting to enlarge the area. I check Ebay and there are a pile of inexpensive ones for different Kawasaki models except the current V1k.  :157:  Meanwhile the available SW-Motech is very expensive  :125: ... Any suggestions??

Thanks Weljo...I am a cheap guy  :008: but ...not that cheap. I just like value for what I buy. :015:

probably i will go with top of the line, SW or H&P, as I don't see a bargain that can make the job. BTW, EBay has a pile of good stuff for less than $10 but...not suitable for our bikes. :123A:

Well ...want to go really cheap ? :007: go get your self some big plated flat washers at a fastener supply store Fastenal etc ... keep them with you, place them under your side stand and no problems .
if you forget them no big loss , 0.60 cents each or less .....
Also a crushed pop can can work in a pinch , been there myself ..over the years i have never had a tip over from a side stand , i have just found/looked for a solid surface or improvised ..
Cheers

Now this is pissing me off.  I bought a side stand pad last year, now where in the hell is it.
I'll keep looking, but all I see now is for the 650.   :125:
