Suggestions on mods
« on: February 12, 2018, 07:35:28 PM »
Ill be buying a 2016 Versys 1000 in the coming month, there is a few mods i need some help on finding and what to stay away from. First on the list is a rear fender eliminator. I only found two but some of the reviews are very negative, what have you guys used on your V1k? Also looking to get a new tail light with integrated turn signals if possible. Anyone know of any. Thats on the top of my list of mods, ill have more to come. any other suggested mods i should look into? thanks!

Welcome along to this great forum,  this is the best place to ask questions and hopefully get informed answers.

I would recommend that you get a radiator guard and/or front fender extender.

Screens, are another area that are a common area for improvement

Hi Floydsz1, can you elaborate. What, in your opinion, is wrong with the genuine Kawasaki heated grips please?  :187:

You may want to skip the fender eliminator if you plan on riding in any type of wet weather....as far as the Kawasaki heated grips, there are better options for less money. Oxford or Koso for example..I have the Koso and love them because the controller is integrated into the left grip......many here have the Oxford and love them..but whichever you prefer, both are cheaper than the Kawasaki grips.

Currently my dad has electric gear and hes able to ride down to 0 even though he has heated grips, I have a pair of oxford heated grips on atm but i may just get a pair of heated gloves or the inserts. With the fender eliminator i can't stand the look of them on a bike.
