Clean and polishing exhaust pipes
« on: May 17, 2018, 06:57:28 PM »
Today I decided to deal very seriously with clean and polishing of exhaust pipes.
It took me 90 minutes to work and my hands really hurt.....
The final result however always justifies you !

it's a real pleasure now to see the exhaust pipes !

I used the ointment AUTOSOL and three microfibers cloth.
The result JUST Perfect !

Βelow two photos, the first is before cleaning-polishing and the second after...

Nice work there,  :123A:

I use MAAS metal polishing crepe. It is expensive, but it is the best metal polish I have ever used.

Titty bars aren't bad if you enjoy being sexually aroused without an outlet. Oh, and they're also convenient if you're in the mood for paying double the normal price for a drink. If I'm in the mood to be treated poorly while giving up large amounts of cash, I visit a BMW dealership

Pipes look great, but I'm curious how long it takes for them to "discolor" again ?
I've rarely gotten in hot water over something I didn't say.

I haven't polished the  V1 SS headers , but I have done others and they turn a nice gold quickly and then darker and than to a little better than stock was.. in about 7 weeks , sooner if you ride in a lot of rain .
That being said , they polish up much quicker if you choose to do it again and just as bright .
I used Autosol as well with a Very Fine  scotch brite pad speeds up the process immensely ..
Worth doing IMO

Versomanik   curious what is with the Coffee in the first pic ? :1:

Longdog, how would you compare MAAS against something like Autosol ?  :002:

Use a paintbrush and a thick bleach first. Dab on, leave for 15 minutes, wash off.

Then use the metal polish.

Great job!
At first glance I thought you had used frappé to clean the pipes  :008:

That is a damn fine job Maniak, well done.  And once you have them "That" clean, they are easy to keep at that level.   :152:    Don't ask how I know.    :008:
