I have to admit I am fascinated with the idea of "self healing paint". I want to go scratch one.....

Unless trying to protect a warranty then doubt many get done at that mileage. 12000km is the main one and the oil change interval according to owners manual. As the initial one is only scheduled to be an emissions device inspection .

That's not what I meant, obviously, even if the brand is important.
The point is: at the same price, having to choose between two almost equal bikes (if you paint them with the same color they are identical), who chooses the one that has considerably lower performances and poorer finishes?  :027:

It has lower quoted power but doubt most owners use the full extent on Kawa so once you get it out of your system a mute point. Not convinced the finish is any better. Missing some electronic novelties perhaps.

The big winner, for some people,  is three little initials. Like Seiko v TAG. Perceived status it brings.

Do not understand kawa wanting to go head to head with them though. Doubt the upgrades made actual cost them that amount.

yes it is i think about status .....And as far as finish  meh .... its nearly a wash, more importantly it should be about over all quality and that brings up reliability and trouble free riding  something that the Japanese bikes seem to have in abundance , especially Kawasaki... I for one and i think many are tired of comparisons that infer that Kawasaki for example always play second fiddle to Euro bikes and for that reason should be at the lower selling price .Perhaps they should be considered a bargain :007: and not regulated to an also ran .

Some European bikes suffer mechanical 'issues' on a frequent basis... I know as I have owned a couple in the past

I have also owned about 14 Kawasaki's since 1993 and only one failed... a ZX9R which 'dropped a valve'.... but it still got me home without any drama  :exclamation:

In order to 'get back on track'   Here is another film clip which may be of interest

It's a fantastic set of features on a bike we know and love. Dang... Kaw has made an exciting, aggressive move here.
G2Ergo throttle tube, Givi Airflow screen, Dan Moto carbon fiber exhaust, Grip Puppies, Moto Werk bar risers, Kaw rad guard

And if you look at the new 'features' I think it's true that they have all been lifted from other models that exist within the Kawasaki line up of bikes....... its not really a revolution, in fact it's a great idea to use specification that is already tried and tested

I totally accept that the price will always divide opinion  :002:
