Badass looking full face helmet
« on: September 16, 2018, 03:28:09 PM »
It's been a while since I thought about buying a Simpson Outlaw helmet, mainly based on its look. I was able to try one on thursday to realize that it is relatively uncomfortable and quite noisy. Having ridden with Shoei for decades, I want a certain level of comfort.

Are there alternatives for a "serious" helmet? By serious, I mean not a caricature (predator), no gadgets (fur skin, animalís ears...) added over and safe as a full face must be. I also want his look to be built in its shape and not in graphics.

Any Ideas?

I thought us Versys riders were geezers wearing white modular helmets!! I've seen what has been described as the Ultimate in French Bad-assery helmet is the Shark Raw Soyouz -matt green and red. Is a half helmet with a google and face mask built on. Bad.To.The.Bone.

Another choice and they even use the term "badass" in the promotion:

https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/shark-streetfighter-raw-helmet

If you wear one you will be compelled to sell your Kawa and buy a big Harley or Indian, get a leather vest and then you won't want to wear a helmet.

Is lidless the ultimate in BadAssery? It is in Stupidity

I'm still blown away with the quiet, ventilation, view port and comfort of the  HJC IS Max II flip up.

Based on look alone, this Shark Raw Soyouz helmet is about what Iím looking for. But I want the safety of a full face helmet so itís a no go.
But thanks anyway for your post!

I have a Matt Black HJC IS17. Not sure if it's "BadAss" or not but it's a great Lid at a sensible Price.

I already looked at the Scorpion Covert which seam to be the same exact thing. Front mask is plastic and held with magnets... For me, it wont' be safe enough in case of a mishap.
Sad as the look is quite what I'm after.
