Well, make that thread a 3 questions one...

3) Anyone knows if K&N K-303 oil filter perform well and is recommended?
I’m asking as I just noticed that it does have a 17 mm nut built on its end which is surely very useful at time of removing it.

This filter fits the Versys 1000 it also fit my FJR1300 and my Versys 650...https://www.amazon.com/PC-Racing-PCS1-Stainless-Reusable/dp/B00BYUXCUA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1538091444&sr=8-2&keywords=pcs-1+oil+filter     . I've been using this same filter for 8 years now on 3 different bikes...

A 303 in both K&N brand and HiFloFiltro are fine...I've used both depending on which is cheaper at the time...looking at them side by side  there is no discernible difference, and I believe them to both be made by HiFloFiltro

Weljo, where did you buy this Gold Plug? On their website or at another retail place?
I saw many cheaper (Chinese) magnetic plugs on eBay; any reason to get a Gold Plug instead?

Got it on their web-site Its a MP-01.....http://goldplug.com/shop/mp01/   .You can get extra 12mm washers there to #SW03 When you get to the checkout if you have an amazon account you can pay through that and i believe you get free shipping so its makes it cheaper. I've bought plenty of Chinese parts for my bikes over the years but for something that could affect the engine I'll go with a well known product everytime...
