Time for a change
« on: November 30, 2018, 02:58:11 AM »
Well decided it's time for a change so it's good bye versys and bought myself the new GS1250 Adventure.Loved the versys and it's never let me down.Always fancied a gs and after moving various models of the gs around Europe for a client my mind was made up.

A very capable motorcycle I'm sure!
Give us a comparison report after a few rides.
I used to do self deprecating humor, but I wasn't very good at it.

Congrats on your new bike !!  It has always gotten GREAT reviews.  I just think it is one of the ugliest bikes out there.

I'm sure that you will love your new bike doc, after all you have 'shifted' a few around so you know what they are like  :002:

I spent quite a while looking at the new 1250 at the NEC show and it is an impressive bike.

I do like that colour scheme too  :169:

The R1250 does have a bit of a jumbled, busy appearance. But always, always, what matters most about a bike is that it has a "heart of gold": it is comfortable, responsive to your inputs, and engineered to work right and not strand you in the middle of nowhere or present you with unwelcome safety challenges.

The boxer-engined Beemers have a very deep history of checking most of those boxes. I'm sure the modern ones are fantastic.  :028:

nice bike …..look better in Orange I think  :007:
seriously though :002: have a friend who rides a 2016 BMW  R1200 GS    loves it and uses it quite a bit for Two Track and some more serious off road , places a Versys 1000 would fear to tread ... great true adventure bike...  get her muddy
