Bar risers (or not)
« on: December 31, 2018, 08:47:44 PM »
I'm intending getting my seat reworked in the new year( sculpted, lowered a bit and gel/memory foam added) would this negate the need for bar risers?

Only you will know that, Macduff, but it's smart to do one thing at a time. As we know with ergonomics, everything affects everything else. You might get the slope out of the seat and say, aha, I'm there!  :123A:

I kinda did the opposite. The slope of the seat was throwing more weight on my wrists than I wanted. Risers took the pressure off. But they didn't fix the seat...  :124:

Bar risers will probably be my #1 upgrade after I finish breaking-in the bike. But I have to give it at least a month before I decide.

Ppl posted few posts here that up to 1" you don't have to replace any cables...

I agree Sonny.... I fitted Motowek bar risers after fitting a Saddlecraft seat, which collectively suited me personally and provided 'all day comfort'    :169:
