transpyrenean last summer vacancy trip
« on: February 03, 2019, 08:51:33 PM »
Well this was my first big alone trip with a bike , and my 2015 versys worked as expected.

I cross the pyrenees in 8 stages - days using the french route ( route des cols )

https://www.lespyrenees.net/route_des_cols

Mostly I used camping and some hotel on the trip.

I have made full trip videos recorded in 4k shared in youtube , each stage has maps and gps data shared too if you like to see in detail.

Finally I want now to edit and make a " the best moments " , is not finished yet

It is recorded in spanish and subtitled on english.

Here you are my trip list

Hi soyguille, the video's of your trip are great. What software did you use to make the video's showing the map and altitude inlays? I was very impressed  :152:

Hy BikerMan

To get altitude first I must ad that info to the original gps track , then when gps has altitude included I use VIRB ( Garming software ) to make the layer composition.

Here you are the tools I have used.

FCX main video edit software - VIRB ( gps layer edition - maps  )

-main route: http://www.lespyrenees.net/route_des_cols
-gps data conversor: http://www.gpstrackeditor.com/
My camera like others doesn't record altitude, but this web allows you to insert altitude on gps track
http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/
-statistics gps : http://utrack.crempa.net/index_es.php
-iPhone - iPad ( navigator ): Scenic
-this web allows you to combine gps tracks : https://gotoes.org/strava/Combine_GPX_TCX_FIT_Files.php

I am happy that you like it. Total length is about almost 13 hours.

I will post in this thread when I finish it a resume ( best moments ) of that trip.

Thanks
