Versys colors by year (USA)
« on: February 11, 2019, 11:28:25 PM »
Is there a place I can go to see the Versys 1000 color options available by year in the USA since about 2015?  Was there only one color option per year?  Thinking of buying, it could be a new leftover or maybe one with low miles.

Here’s a start.  These are the ones I know of, maybe others can supplement this list.

2019 Black with White striping
2018 Black with Green striping
2017 Black with Red striping
2016 Green, Titanium
2015 Black, Orange

The 2015 also came in green. That year's orange and green were full gloss, deep pearlish/metallic, clear coated paint. I believe that the US 2016's went to a semi-matte orange and green, not as deep in color, sort of dustier looking.

My 2015 orange is holding up beautifully, except where I have scratched the panniers with my boot climbing on and off the bike.  :124:

Yes, I think different colors have gone to different markets over the years. Honda does this as well, maybe other mfgrs.

The B&W 2019 V1K walkaround just posted from France is not the same as the B&W scheme for N. America. It has nice green highlights and lacks those gray gill-looking panels on the sides.
