Decision decision , new versys
« on: May 17, 2019, 07:35:34 PM »
Was out on my 2015 versys today, called round to my dealer friend where I bought mine, just for a brew and a nosey at the new one,
They've a new one in the workshop at the moment being made into a GT.
Offered it to me for £15k , I'd decided to keep mine until the end of the year, but not sure now, very tempting offer.  :1:

Winter is the best time to buy a new bike.  Dealers need to clear old inventory and most folks aren't thinking about purchasing a new bike when it's too cold to ride.  Dealers will have new 19s on the floor in January and you should be able to get a better deal.

very true,

But as I will be selling my 2015gt privately, it will be worth less at the end of the year.

Most of the depreciation occurs in the first 3 years. The difference in resale price between a 4 year old bike and a 5 year old bike is not as important as its mileage and overall condition.

I'm really starting to like if the new one but would struggle to spend probably 7-8k unless it's miles better

The only way to find out if it's better for you Mike is to try one..... there wouldn't be any obligation and at least then you would know....... it may not prove to justify the extra expense  :169:
