« on: July 11, 2019, 08:47:47 PM »
Hi guys, I'm looking for a pair of panniers at a reasonable price in good condition.
Any for sale in UK?

I have 1 brand new, and one smashed one. Assuming you don't want the broken one. I could do you a good price on the new one, and then you just need to source the RHS. You will need the colour parts and lock set as the pannier I have is just the base, you buy the other bits seperate.

No worries. You could have the broken one also. It is only cracked on the outer skin not the inner cavity so would still be water tight. I thought of just glueing some rubber over the cracked but. Not cosmetically perfect but functional. Anyways, hope you get some for your trip.

How much for the pair? If repairable I may be interested if reasonably priced. Could you possibly send me some photos?
Thanks

You can have them for £200, they were £472 for the pair, though it looks like you can get them for £450 now from kawasaki original parts https://www.kawasakioriginalparts.com/accessories/2016-models/versys-1000-2016/kawasaki-versys-1000-2015-2x28l-pannier-set.html

They also list the additional bits you would need if you want to make them up to full factory spec. At the minimum you'd need a lock set and the fitting kit.

Lock Cylinder Set (2 locks) +£37.36

Pannier Covers (15T/17L Candy Burnt Orange) +£103.45

Deco Stripe Kit (15T/17L Candy Burnt Orange) +£29.74

Pannier Covers (25Y Pearl Stardust White) +£103.45

Deco Stripe Kit (25Y Pearl Stardust White) +£29.74

Pannier Covers (660 Metallic Spark Black) +£103.45

Deco Stripe Kit (660 Metallic Spark Black) +£29.74

Pannier Fitting Kit (Kit) +£132.91

Fitting kit seems a bit of a rip off as I think it is just the two rubber bungs they slide onto and then a small sticker that sits inside the grab handle.

I will try to get some pics at lunch time of the damaged one.

Thank you for such an extensive answer, wow!
I'm a bit concerned if they are the right ones as mine is 2017 and candy lime green isn't an option?
I'll await photos , no great rush

Many thanks

They haven't changed since they were introduced in 2015 I think. My 2019 has exactly the same panniers as does the zx1000 versys 650 and many others. I had clicked on the link for the 2016 bike, each year lists the different colour parts.

Here's some picks. Hopefully you can see the crack which could probably be araldited or plastic welded, or you could place a piece of rubber over it and bond. But this is just the outer skin and the inner case is intact so completely functional.
