Switched supply near battery - Versys 2019?
« on: July 11, 2019, 10:41:00 PM »
Can anyone advise on where I can easily find a switched trigger supply under the seat/battery area? I want to connect a fuse distribution block to wire up stuff like a dvr and sat nav etc. I'm not greatly confident on cutting into wires on a new bike but happy to do it if I have some idea of success lol.

Pics would of course be amazing :)

Rear Tail light wire - Colour coded BROWN / YELLOW up to connector unit then RED after that  :028: :028:

as in this wiring diagram, in bottom Left Hand side - (Tip - Left click picture and save to PC to view in greater detail)

A better / clearer PDF download of the wiring diagram can be found in one of these folders located in the Google Cloud HERE  :123A:

Just Noticed that you are asking for a Mk3, but info I have given for Mk2  :138:
but I don't think wiring would have changed that much

Thanks for all the effort Towerman. Hehe shame it's the wrong bike. I will look to see if there are similarities though. I would think the non se 2019 bike would be pretty similar but the se has a bolt load of gubbins under the seat now with associated wiring/plugs.

pinkaardvark, I remembered that Jerry has fitted a switched supply to his 20019 bike (tight squeeze, but do-able) , here's the link which may help   :028:

Just an update for anyone searching for this info. I found that on the left hand side to the rear, there is a large rubber boot cover around the two indicators and numberplate light connectors, so I took a tap off the numberplate light to use as a switched trigger.
