Bad night...
on: July 21, 2019, 05:31:14 PM
Well its good that I'm typing this but also not good.  Two nights ago I crashed my 2016 V1K. I haven't seen the bike after I got in the ambulance. I do know from going back the crash location the front faring looks liked it exploded. I hit gravel going around a bend, straightened her up and tried to stop but couldn't in time so I hit a guide rail at about a 45 degree angle. The bike stayed on the road and I was ejected about 10-15 feet into the brush/woods. I walked myself out and over the guide rail and was walking when the police and ambulance showed up.  My helmet got scratched up (I'm gonna try to buff it out  :008:) And I have a small cut that got 3 staples in it along with some road rash all on my right arm. Other then being a bit sore I'm all good and I do know with everything that happened I got the best possible outcome. Now its a waiting game to see what the insurance does then I can look into the next bike. I'll try to keep this updated as everything progresses.

Ride safe and have fun

It's always bad to hear that someone has had an accident, but it's great to hear that you are relatively unscathed.....the bike will fix or get replaced

I hope that you aren't too sore  :169:

It's great that you are still in one piece bikerbud  :152: I've had a few scrapes over the years and I know it shakes your confidence a little but I hope you can get back on two wheels soon. :biker1: :biker1:

Hate to hear of any accident but good to hear that you are relatively unscathed.

The bike will be repaired or replaced in due time - Just get yourself fully fit and well again.
