Greetings from Vancouver Island
« on: July 22, 2019, 03:40:13 AM »
Greetings from Vancouver Island, British Columbia
Taking delivery of a 2019 1000 LT SE this week after researching and a major tech splurge to replace my aging Concours.  Will be taking it to Prince Rupert where I work and using it to explore the highways of northern BC on my weekends.

Right off the bat having problems finding crash bars like SW Moto that claim to fit the 2019. Any advice appreciated. Also if anyone can point me to a thread about light bars (OEM ir after market).  Trying to figure out what farkles to add before I take it north.

Cheers

Brian Kingzett

Welcome along to this excellent forum Feetwet, and welcome to Versys 1000 ownership, over the years I have owned a couple of GTR 1400s (Concourse) and they are a very fine bike, however you will find the Versys 1000 to be much lighter and more nimble which I'm sure will satisfy your riding requirements.

Kawasaki do offer a frame slider kit which fits the 2019 model year bike, I haven't checked the availability of other options but would have thought that there are others out there maybe Givi

Good luck with your new bike, ride safe an enjoy

Welcome . Great bike really happy with mine.
I have added crash bars to my last few bikes but for the SE I'm going to go with the OEM frame sliders. They are not as intrusive and way lighter.
Kawi also has the led light and mount kit but not cheap. I think around $700
Congrats on the bike
