I use a Draper MCPL/1 scissor lift, which I carefully locate under the bike oil pan/sump, I do not lift the front of the bike by placing my lift under the headers additionally is use a block of wood between the lift and the bike

I guess others will have different views and lifts  :169:

I use the ratchet strap to the ceiling joist lift and center stand method
