Yes, there will be a North American International Versys meet in 2020.  And, as it is tradition to bounce it between the two coasts, the 2020 IVM will take place on the left coast.

I am thinking about making Clarckston, WA/Lewiston, ID the base camp, as they are at the foot of several epic rides in the Palouse and a good location for a late June meeting.

Oh, did I mention it will be in June?   :notsure:  Final dates and hotel of choice will be nailed down later, as we still need to decide if this is a weekend or mid week event.  I am open to setting that depending on who is coming and how long it takes them to get there.  I assume the semi-local guys that can get there in a day would prefer over a weekend, as they can make it with only one or two days off.  Those coming from further afield may prefer a mid week event, so they can use the weekends before and after to travel and not have to use that much vacation.  Rob is going to be riding (unlike some other people that flew to the last IVM on the right coast..
) from Nova Scotia, it's probably a week each way and he is retired, so he doesn't care.   :015:

For those interested in an epic international fly-ride, here are some links to potential rental places near by (FSVO near by...).

Seattle, WA:

http://northwestadventureride.com/motorcycle_rental/

This looks like the AirBnB of motorcycle rentals:

06-18&endDate=2020-06-30

Portland, OR:

Motoquest have locations in San Francisco and LA, if that works better for you:

As do Eagle Rider, etc.

For reference, Lewiston, ID is an easy day ride from Seattle or Portland.  It's probably a couple of days from San Francisco or Los Angeles, two long days from Denver, Colorado and possibly a long day from Salt Lake City in Utah.  Pick your starting point based on what bikes are available for rent in the different locations and how easy it is to get there from where you start.  Needless to say, you don't have to show up on a Versys.  First, very few places have them for rent and second, it's an opportunity to try something different, so go ahead, rent your dream bike if that's what you want.  Yes, will accept you even if you show up on a Harley...   :016:
If you have a long enough vacation period, you may be able to combine a ride to the IVM and do a larger loop through Yellowstone, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and California for a seriously epic trip.

Questions, comments and complaints about everything from where to when and why are welcome.   :031:
