Two down one to go
on: November 18, 2019, 09:54:58 PM
Well I am now down to one bike out of three. Today while riding my Versys SE to the post office to mail some letters The front wheel found to largest pot hole it could and decide to ride into it and giving it a nice bend. Luckily the wheel/tire held air and I did not go down. So the big Versys SE will not get ridden until the wheel is ether replaced or repaired. (waiting for insurance adjuster) Also my FJR is down for a fork rebuild, waiting for parts to arrive, in which USPS does not seem to be in a big rush to get them to me. So it just leave me my little Versys X300.  And as a side note, my Son is borrowing my pickup while his Jeep is in the shop. I Suppose I could drive the wife's car, but that is no fun. Some folks seem to have all the luck.

If I ran my bike into a pothole like that.....I don't think I'd show anybody. I'd probably try coming up with a different story  :138:

Hey - sh#t happens - just glad you didn't get hurt.  A new wheel is about $800, so I hope you don't have a large deductible.

I've seen quite a few reports of bent rims on the V1. You'd think by now Kawasaki would put sturdier rims on this bike?
 Glad you're ok!

I always wondered what a pothole would do to a rim, know I know.

At least the weather will be turning bad over the next few days, that should keep you from wanting to hop on the bike for a bit.

It is almost impossible not the hit a pot hole here in Colorado.  You have much nicer roads in AZ. Come live in Colorado for a year and then we will talk. On second thought Don't. Too many out of state'ers are here already. :015:

Our roads are terrible with lots of pot holes, which need to be avoided at all costs    :007:

Looks like you were riding on the wrong (left) side of the street? That is if you hit that concrete edge. Or in a parking lot?
