Anyone Try the Klim Marrakesh Pants?
on: February 12, 2020, 05:40:10 AM
I'm looking at getting the Klim Marraskesh pants and was hoping that someone on here had tried it before.  Klim gear is normally limited for availability locally and normally available via special order so I would like to hear some reviews prior.

I'm basically looking for thoughts on the following:
    * How comfortable are they?
    * Can you spend a couple of hours walking around in them, or do they really need to be taken off when not on the bike?
    * Better with a waterproof liner inside or outside?

I'm really trying to decide between three:
    Klim Marrakesh Pants
    Klim Voyage Air Pants
    Klim Carlsbad Pants

My pants are currently the Olympia Air Glide and I wear them year round rain or shine for both touring and commuting.  I wear my waterproof bicycle pants underneath when I ride in the rain to keep myself dry.

My current pair are only being replaced because they were damaged in a crash.  They worked well but looking to get a slightly nicer pair now that I need a new set.

Thanks!

So I ended up getting a Klim Baja S4 today while at the store. I tried on the Voyage Air and Carlsbad but when I tried on the Baja S4 I was sold.  That combined with a pretty good discount and the fact like it looked like the Marrakesh does not have a jacket attachment zipper helped to make my choice for me.

I found the Baja the most comfortable of the three to walk around in, and it felt quite nice when sitting on my bike.

The big notes on the Baja S4 were:
    * Worked with and without pants under the gear
    * Cannot put a waterproof liner under the gear0
    * No full length side zipper
[li]* Compared to some other brands I tried on I did not need a tall size

 All useful info, Brad. Thanks.

I've stayed away from Klim because I can't find anyone in this neck of the woods who stocks them in anything close to my size and I won't buy without trying them on.

 Rob.

That certainly would of been good, it would of allowed us to see her without pants 😄

I tried a Klim suit some years ago but it didn't feel comfy, despite being excellent quality, so I followed the offer of the retailer and returned it....... I swapped it for Rev-It Defender Jacket and pants, they fit and perform excellently, since then I have purchased Rev-it Dominator Gortex gloves and Rev-it Discovery Outdry Boots which are also excellent and feature a Boa closure system which helps with ankle/leg support

I s'pose I'm all Revved up now    :008:
