March 1st
on: February 21, 2020, 12:50:43 PM
Hi

MY dealer is telling me that I will not be able to collect my new baby on Sunday march the first because the automated registration system is not available on Sundays.

Anybody else been told this or is it bullsh#t.

Seriously not happy after waiting 3 months

I got mine new in june last year , but my dealer rang me about 5 days before I was due to pick it up with a list of registrations to choose from, so they had it registered well before I picked it up. and as for road tax, that can be done on the day, online as long as its insured.

I've just checked with a friend who is Sales Manager at a large franchised dealer, and he says the same as you have been told by your dealer.

I have spoke to a mate who is sales manage for  a car dealership and DVLA they say it can be pre-registered 14 days before.

Have had a chat with dealer who are now going to deliver the bike Saturday, but cant use it until Sunday obviously.

Suspect they might not want to open sunday

.

I got my 2003 z1000 delivered by my mate who owned a bike shop , he delivered it on Feb 26 but it was an 03 reg, 1st march.
That was my thought about them not wanting to open on Sunday.
Saturday will be a long day,

I'm confused.  You've been waiting 3 months for the bike and now one more day is pissing you off?

its not the one more day as such, I have lined up a few mates for a ride on Sunday (weather permitting).

I also work away during the week so its Sunday or wait unit the following Saturday.

Anyway I have paid 16k for a new bike and I want it on Sunday, not to much to ask is it.

Or am I been unreasonable
