I've been watching this thread because I was thinking to myself that the last couple weeks I have had trouble finding neutral on my Versys when it's cold.  I guess I'm glad to see I'm not the only one.

I don't remember having this problem back in August/September, so maybe it is just cold weather that causes me to be able to go from first to second gear - bypassing neutral - when the Versys is stopped. It only lasts a little while till things warm up.  It is a little annoying at times.

Agree is annoying. my issue is my riding buddy lives 100 meters away so every time I pull up at his I have this dance with the gear lever. its fine by the time I get to the traffic light half a mile away

can you check if the problem occurs when the engine is off?

usually if its difficult to engage neutral when at a standstill its the clutch that is slightly dragging.

This  has happens occasionally.  But not very often.
When its cold out I have my bigger winter boots on.  So I had to Adjust to by Big Clunky Feet.

I just need to Rock the bike a little. and it slips into neutral  like its suppose to .

Have you just tried rocking the bike slightly.   when stopped put both feet down   Rock the bike a little with the right foot and gently shift.
I have always used  Castrol 4 Stroke  10W 40   Motorcycle oil.   Basic oil   No synthetic or anything special for my Bike  KALI. :biker1:

Anytime under 50 degrees ... happens all the time.
