Good idea! I could do the same here. You could even have a new tire installed on it so you're ready to swap wheel/tire when the tire is shot.

I've seen several reports of bent front rims on the Versys. I find this unacceptable. In 18 years and 103,000 miles, I've never had a bent rim on my FZ1, and she's seen more than her share of bad roads.

If anyone has their 18 rim down to bare with only bearings, please weigh it. I see there is a different part number for the 18, not sure what, if anything, changed.

Here's the list of what the silver wheel fits:

Iceman,

My bent rim was caused by a 3 ball trailer hitch that was thrown from an oncoming pickup truck.  It also took out the lower fairing and caused serious damage to the cooling system and the front tire had to be replaced.  It was not due to any weakness of the wheel

9094, accordingly to your list the SILVER wheel # 41073-0105-795 fits on:
2006~2008 ZX-14
2008~2011 Concours 14

I made a lot of searches yesterday in online parts catalog and found a BLACK wheel # 41073-0734-18F that fits on:
2009~2011 ZX-14
2012~2014 Concours 14

Those two wheels all uses the same bearing, oil seals and spacing collars.

Question: Do you know if the wheel off a 2009~2011 ZX-14 or 2012~2014 Concours 14 does fit on a Versys 1000?

I tried to log on COG forum (to ask if 2008/2010 and 2012/2014 wheels do interchange) but the process seems quite complex as I failed yet...

That would tend to indicate they would fit. the parts listing for the silver one may only mean silver was no longer an option for the newer years.  The ZX brake discs are the same 2006-2010,  And my 2016 discs bolted on fine even though the Versys discs appear to be unique to the Versys. Different diameters?

The newer 2012+ ZX14 wheels look more like the 2015+ Versys wheels, and are black, but are different part numbers and maybe stronger looking, the drawings have the hubs looking more like the older ones. could be the draftsman...... same bearing center spacer from 2003-2020 on zx6,10 and 14 + versys and concours,,,  They all should interchange...   the newer concours disc is used 2012+

Drop a part number in the search box on ronayers.com lower left on page, search, then click the "where used" link at the end of the line. That will tell you where kawasaki used a part (for US models anyway), You can search on what a part bolts to in order to determine if it might bolt to yours. only difference may be the color etc as to why a part is not listed. Which I suspect is the difference on some of these wheels.

The newer Concours wheels look like the older ones like I bought, only in black...  While the newer ZX14 wheels resemble the oem Versys wheels.

Oh and beside
BLACK wheel # 41073-0734-18F that fits on:
2009~2011 ZX-14
2012~2014 Concours 14

there's also:
BLACK wheel # 41073-0759-18F that fits on:
2012~2016 ZX-14
2015~2016 Concours 14

I just posted on a ZX-14 forum to ask about front wheel interchangability. Hope to get a straight answer.

Strangely enough, I also found that there are two different BLACK front wheels available for 2017 Versys 1000.
41073-0719-18F
41073-0732-18F

I'd noticed the 2017/2018 had a newer part number. Also, the 2015/2016 has been superceded to the newest 2017/2018 number.
make you wonder if they quietly re-designed it...

I'm NOT going to be the one to spend $797 to find out...

Oh man, that's bad! Did they throw it out as you were headed towards them?

Maybe launched is a better word than thrown.  I don't think it was done on purpose.  It either came out of the bed of the truck or it disengaged from the hitch.
