I rang my local dealer and they didnt want to know. He said they have work in until July so I'd have to go else where. I have an appointment on Wed for tyres so I'll be taking my 300 for those else where too. I've just ordered one from Cradley, he couldn't have been nicer and is putting it straight in the post. Cheers Hector.

I'm amazed John... you are right to vote with your feet... that kind of attitude towards a customer is awful

It's not the first instance of poor attitude I've received from them. When I was looking for a bike i had to hunt someone down to ask questions and even then it was like pulling teeth. I rang about servicing and they were equally awkward.
Funny thing is in found a small "back street" type indi and he said I'm better ordering online to his shop and he will fit them as often he pays more than the likes of Deamon Tweeks or Openeo sell to the public. He was right, I got the Roadtec 01 SE for 217 from Openeo and M&S (the dealer) wanted 245 plus 45 to fit.

M&S Motorcycles in Newcastle. They pretty much have a monopoly on most brands though. We have a Triumph, Honda and Yamaha dealer but most other brands are them. The next closest is in Teeside, about 30 miles. With my experience when looking for a bike I ended up going to Leeds for mine. After this I won't even give them a thought.

I'm with you - I get my tyres from Oponeo and get them fitted locally and always order parts from Fowlers and Cradley as I suggested. We need a "name and shame" and "name and praise" section on the forum -  it might make a few dealers a bit more aware of issues.

Dealers do look at forums and if there was a dedicated section mentioning good and bad experience then the dealer principals could act accordingly. Forum members could get ideas of where to go for the best.

I know there are google reviews and trustpilot etc but all opinions are good. Surely this is one of the great benefits of the internet and social media - the transparency it has created.

(I know we are off topic but it seems the OP has solved his issue)

That's a good idea and one I've seen in practice on car forums.
It's certainly on its way to being resolved, the bolt is in the post and a temporary one in situ and the tyres are also on route.
