Puig Touring Screen - Wish Id known...
on: June 09, 2020, 04:38:44 PM
My tinted touring screen arrived from Louis Moto in Deutschland.

I selected my non-SE bike and the part arrived and it doesnt fit directly onto the non-SE bracket.

As I work in Composites, Ive modified mine by drilling 2 holes and got it to fit, albeit without the plastic trim, and as itll only be on for touring trips Id rather bodge this one than shell out double the money for a genuine larger screen.

Anyway, just a point to note if youre considering one for your standard Versys.

Nice when they tell you it's for your exact bike and it turns out it isn't.

I agree, and a company like Puig should know better, it could be a genuine mistake on their part ..... have you contacted Puig about this  ?

I didn't know the SE had a different bracket than the non-SE? That seems pretty weird, since functionality is the same?

(or I may be missing something. Didn't you get the screen for a pre-2019?)

The '19 LT and SE have the same mount on the bike, but some of the brackets are different between them.  Kawasaki has a part number to order the bits for the '19 LT that makes it the same as the SE so you can then mount the SE screens.  I've done this on mine to mount the SE screen on my LT/
