The Belt Buster! Now that is a breakfast. Had a Heart Attack and Bypass Surgery two years ago. I can only have one of those once or twice a year now. Cheat Days!

Might seem like a dumb question but not something we get over here.

Whats the creamy coloured dish on the small side plate next to the drink ?

Grits.  They are a mostly Southern corn based food.  Growing up in New York, I had never heard of them

Ever see the movie "My Cousin Vinnie" ?  Terrific movie and there is a section involving grits.

“My Cousin Vinnie“ is a true American Classic. Love that movie.

“... are you aware of the ongoing Cholesterol problem in this country?”  :745:

Might one of those creamy side dishes be Biscuits and Gravy? Another southern breakfast staple?

For you gents across the pond Biscuits and Gravy is a simple Baked Biscuit, which is better when more shortening and butter are used to make, smothered with a white sausage gravy (ground sausage meat inside) and a good amount of black pepper. This however looked almost like grits as it was a creamy gravy. We like to call it “a heart attack on a plate.” So good!
