Can anyone tell me what the symbol in the linked photo is that is displayed between the word "Clock" and the image of the gas pump?

Economical driving indicator. It appears when it feels you are riding at the most economical, hence it will be going on and off regularly.

We used to refer to it as the 'wool mark'

Does anyone see any value in this thing?
I had it on my C14 too and even trying to ride "economically" I can never get it to stay on on either bike.
It was always off and on.
Wish you could just turn it off, as anything that pop off and on on the gauges can be a bit distracting.

It seems to be on quite a lot when on cruise control on the motorway.
