I am looking at a 900RS as well. They have them reduced here for a great price.

That is what is so cool about our hobby, each bike fits each one of us differently. We seem to be able to do longer days on the Versys as the comfort level is better for us. The C-14 is a great bike and our 75K on her were awesome.

I traded a first gen FJR in on my Versys.  I only miss the FJR on days with lots of slab riding, which I generally avoid because slab sucks!  I wouldn't mind having another FJR, perhaps a Connie, or maybe even (gasp) a Goldwing for longer trips.   The Versys does everything the FJR would do for the most part, but the FJR was certainly superior from 90mph and up.  I was about to "cruise" effortlessly at double the national speed limit.  I do miss that at times, but I absolutely love my Versys and never loved the FJR for some intangible reason.

I have family a few hours away and I'd probably be more likely to ride to visit (vs take my truck) if I had a dedicated highway bike.  Just picked up a DR650 so I'm kinda going the other direction for now...to be continued.
