Great video and always an interesting topic.  Many of the reasons I chose the Versys (2018) size, power to weight ratio and easier maintenance.  I had a Honda ST1300 and it had a great power windscreen, that's the only thing I missed.

I bought a PUIG lightly tinted screen (a bit wider) and for my winter/cooler weather riding it works great. No regrets om my V1  :152: :152:

Really enjoy your videos........... :37: :37:

Now do I sell my ZRX and get a Z900 or Z900RS........ ????? :138:

Thank you for the kind words. I have a tinted V-stream screen and I love it, plus it looks cool as hell haha!

I am looking at a 900RS as well. They have them reduced here for a great price.

Thank you for watching, Take care and be safe!

I have both ... 2013 C14 and 2016 V1K. Different bikes... love both, but for my kind of long touring with several 450 to 650 miles back to back during 9-12 days, hands down, the C14 is by far the best. In 7 1/2 year of ownership, my C14 has 87k+ miles ... in 4 years ownership the V1K has 16k miles. For anything less than 400 miles, the V1K is my goto bike.

That is what is so cool about our hobby, each bike fits each one of us differently. We seem to be able to do longer days on the Versys as the comfort level is better for us. The C-14 is a great bike and our 75K on her were awesome.

Take care and ride safe

Cool video. The versys doesn’t get a whole lot of attention on YouTube. Nice to see the review...

I traded a first gen FJR in on my Versys.  I only miss the FJR on days with lots of slab riding, which I generally avoid because slab sucks!  I wouldn't mind having another FJR, perhaps a Connie, or maybe even (gasp) a Goldwing for longer trips.   The Versys does everything the FJR would do for the most part, but the FJR was certainly superior from 90mph and up.  I was about to "cruise" effortlessly at double the national speed limit.  I do miss that at times, but I absolutely love my Versys and never loved the FJR for some intangible reason.

I have family a few hours away and I'd probably be more likely to ride to visit (vs take my truck) if I had a dedicated highway bike.  Just picked up a DR650 so I'm kinda going the other direction for now...to be continued.
