New toy for dirtier adventures: 2020 DR 650

A 2001 DR650 owner here. I love this machine. Sometimes its just fun to putt around on a 650 thumper indeed. A totally different concept in bikes. I love my Versys but I love kicking around on the DR.  Have fun. That's what is all about, right?

While inspecting the bike (and the bag of goodies I got with it) I discovered the previous owner installed a ProCycle jet kit and cut the top of the airbox.  It has a 150 main jet in it, but has the stock exhaust.  That's too much jet for the stock pipe, so I did the only reasonable thing and ordered a Leo Vince can for it.  Next week, more BRAAAP.

 

I took a few laps around my neighborhood today and discovered some decent trails nearby, which may or may not have involved minor trespassing...I waved at some kids, and jumped some curbs.  Man, this bike is fun.
