The description for Givi AF4105 2-part windscreen excludes 2017 & 2018 V1000. Here is Givi's fitment description:
Givi AF4105 Airflow Motorcycle Windshield for Kawasaki Versys 650/LT '15-'16, Versys 1000 '12-'14 & Versys 1000 LT '15-'16 I was told it would fit my 2017 but no real clear answers. So I bought one. It is not a drop-in fit. The only modification I had to make was to drill out the 4 holes circled in red. These holes were about 1/4" diameter from the factory but to fit the rubber bushings for the 2017 the holes should be 12mm diameter. The 4 holes also seemed to be too far apart from side to side compared to OE windscreen, which looked like it make the sliding function problematic. So I shifted the center of the holes about 3mm toward the center of the bike on each hole. To shift the center of the hole I used a Dremel to somewhat enlarge the holes toward the center of the bike before drilling the holes larger. And since I don't have a 12mm drill bit I drilled them next size smaller, marked the hole size with blue tape and pencil and then enlarged them with a Dremel. After that it fits fine. Have not tried it out yet, still buried in snow.
