Wanted: Small Sportsbag to fit the 2019 rear rack
on: March 10, 2021, 03:38:07 AM
Hi Gang, looking for a recommendation, looking for a small bag, say 8Litre........ to sit on the standard rear rack.....
the Givi U113 or whatever seems to be the only one that can be secured straight to the existing rack without rings n' brackets and what not.....

Anybody have any other options......? I just want to be able to toss some odds 'n ends in there for a daytrip or short ride so it doesnt need to be big>
Cheers in advance

Have you thought about a tanklock bag?

I, and many others on the forum have these.
Mine is a 5L GIVI MT505 Metro-T.
It stays on the bike permanently. I carry a Stop n Go repair kit and Airman Touring Compressor. My intercom charging cable all the time.
I put my phone in the dedicated pocket and can also fit a bottle of water in and occasionally a sandwich. There is also room in side pockets for a multi tool and small extras like cash and paracetamol (nothing worse than getting a headache on an all day trip).

I have tried a bigger bag but the bars fowled and it prevented full lock which I found dangerous. Also anything taller obscured the clocks.

Something like this  :027:

Autokicker - 7.5l expandable to 12l - 48
Looks like it clips on and clips off on either the pillion seat / rear rack

If you don't mind no-name, mass produced, amazon stuff, something like this may fit the bill:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0789XGYST/?coliid=I34NER4ZL7OC5M&colid=1MAEJQY0CJ77H&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

I've had it on my list there for a while, but have never pulled the trigger.
