on: May 10, 2021, 04:07:05 AM
Ive a versy 1000 registered in 2017 and want to know it's precise build date.
Does anyone know how to decipher the vin number?

It may just be your curiosity regarding the exact build date of your bike, but don't overlook the fact that your bike may have been registered some time after it was built    :028:

Dealer stock bikes can be registered months after they were built. I believe 2017 registered were around a spec change time. That's why I want to know it's exact month/year build. Is it a 2017 or 2016 or earlier

A quick question. Has it got a gear position indicator incorporated in the main Speedo / rev unit.
No = 2015/2016 MK2 model
Yes = 2017 MK2.5 model

The VIN will only tell you the year, there should be a tag on the neck with the month and year built it was built.
