New bike ( to me )

After much deliberation and a few false starts , I have now found a bike that suits me very well,

    The bike is a 2020 BMW R 1250 GS TE  :001:  yes a BMW .....a BMW ? I hear you ask.....well yes  !   :169:

The bike is a low chassis model and has a low seat option,  The GS 1250 is no lightweight  but its weight displacement  is obviously very low thereby  making it much more manageable.  The bike has covered a mere 3300 miles, is immaculate and fully loaded with just about every  accessory, I won't bore you with all the details but will post a picture later.

I still plan to stay on this most excellent  forum ( if you'll have me  :008: ) which has grown into one of the best and most respected  forums around

So there you have it  :002:

Bloody uboater,  looks very nice.  Must admit I keep looking at lighter or easier bikes to manoeuvre.  Triumph 900gt low. Mate has got one so I need to have a ride on it. Also bmw gs,  fairly heavy but as you said low centre of gravity.

    Congrats, Tyke   :37:

I certainly hope that you stay active on the board and that your new ride turns out to be everything you hope it will be.

    Exactly right Peter,

Thanks to everyone for your (mostly)     :745:   kind comments    :031:

The bike is stunning with outstanding components and construction, it is great to ride plus the low chassis and low seat mean that flat footing is easy providing more confidence / security for me and maybe shorter stature riders

It does have an Arrow pipe which is noisy and may have to be replaced with the OEM item which I have along with the other original items

The engine, although a boxer twin, and without IL4 characteristics is superb, I owned a 2010 GS about 10+ years ago, this bike is totally different to that one
