If anybody has a standard cat they have cut off and want to sell it I would be interested, on my previous bike I opened it up and removed the insides, gave me the exact level of noise I liked and was not offensive.

removing the CAT does not make the bike louder just lighter and getting less hot.  I personally cut the ugly box off and welded a connecting pipe.  I did it with a local welder and it was very cheap.  I hear reports that with Delkovic full system one loses the power.  the OEM headers are better.  another way is to get the connecting pipe with clamps.  It is available for instance here:  https://maxtorquecans.com/kawasaki-klz-versys-1000-2012-2019-stainless-de-cat-exhaust-pipe-clamps/

Please forgive the resurrection of this thread, but... Where does the center stand sit when closed now? I've done this mod to numerous bikes, but none had a center stand.

I got a decat pipe for dirt cheap from Aliexpress for around 40$ Canadian. Removed the header, cut through the outer pipe behind the weld and took the cat off. The decat pipe is just sliding onto the header and clamped tight. Fits pretty decent and is quite loud with the delcevic 9 inch muffler. If i want to, i can just slide the cat back on and weld it. No harm done. The o2 sensor sits in the header. No issues there. I had found a video on youtube about where to cut it. Very helpful  :028:

i just cut off the cat box and welded a new pipe, so Akra silencer could fit.
