 You're not the first on a litre + bike to find a well ridden V 650 disappearing over the horizon ahead  .  The 650 is often underestimated. The V1k is about par for what might be expected of it.

2022 NVM rideout route.

We will gather at 9.30 for a 9.45 start at the National park centre, and museum car park, which is the same as last time.

Please ensure that you have enough petrol to cover a minimum of 125 miles. The petrol station in the centre of Hawes is staffed during normal office hours,  but fuel is available 24/7 at all other times via card payments.

We will leave the car park by by turning right onto the A684 . At the B6255 turn left, sign posted Ingleton. At 6.7 miles, signpost Dent, turn right,

At  10.2 miles turn right, signpost Dent station ( coal road ). We will have a short stop at the station which is the highest main line station in England at 1150 ft above sea level.

At 14.7 miles turn right onto A684. Signpost Hawes. At 15.5 mile turn left onto B6259. Signpost Kirkby Stephen.

At 26.5 miles turn right onto A685 signpost Brough. At 30.9 miles turn right, signpost Middleton in Teesdale. At 31.4 miles turn left onto B6276 signpost  Middleton in Teesdale.

At 44.4 miles turn left onto B677 signpost Middleton in Teesdale.

We will have 1 hour lunch stop in Middleton in Teesdale. As always in our region, we struggle to get a large group fed and watered. However there is a chippy,  3 small cafes, and a co-op that has a good selection of ready made fresh sandwiches,  so we should all find something to suit.

We will leave town on the B6277 signpost Barnard Castle. At 52.6 miles at Cotherstone, turn right onto unclassified road signpost Bowes. At 56.7 turn left onto A67. At 60.2 miles turn right on unclassified road,  sign Boldron.

At 61.9 miles turn left onto A66 signpost Scotch corner. At 62.2 miles turn right signpost Reeth. Follow this to t junction at end, At 70.7 miles turn right, signpost Tan hill. At the pub, we will have a pickie and brew stop. The pub is the highest Inn in England at 1734 ft above sea level.

At 78.2 miles turn left,signpost Keld. To t junction, At 82 miles turn left B6270. At 86.7 miles turn right signpost Askrigg. At 91.4 miles turn left onto unclassified road signpost Leyburn.

At 102 miles At A 684 turn right signpost Hawes.

On the way back to Hawes now, (18 miles ) , however, Richard has requested a ice cream stop, so, not to disappoint we will call at the Wenslydale ice cream parlour, then return to Hawes.
