T-rex engine guards tested

Long story short, wife's got a few thousand miles under her belt but still isn't ready for larger bikes.
She came to a complete stop and tipped over to the right in some gravel on my v1k. The only damage it caused to the bike was the hand guard bracket bent and ripped some of the plastic out that the screws fasten to, and some light gouging in the luggage. There was a little chewing to the guards replaceable pads but not enough to care. I was able to bend the bracket back into place before the ride home. No damage to my tank/fairing/fork/exhaust/handlebar/engine/peg/turn signal(even though turn signal made contact)
Overall pretty minimal and money well spent

I was one of the ones that bought them when they had the 19-21 labeled as 15-18 and had to send them back because they didn't fit.
They claim to have a new design or something, been waiting going on 11 weeks for them to be in stock. I would have certainly loved to have them today.
