service light just come on after only 2000 miles can it be reset by anyone or does it have to be done by dealer any help would be appreciated

What year is it, it's also down to how old the bike is not just mileage, if it's the spanner light it's a dealer reset

The service flag can be triggered by both mileage and date. For example, mine's been set by the dealer to show on reaching either the mileage since its last service or 12 months from the day it was done.

it,s a 2022 model on a 21 plate it just says "service" and spanner comes on for about 5 seconds

Same as my 2019 model. If it's been serviced in the last 12 months and had its first service then your dealer needs to be shown proof and asked to reset it.

My new Versys SE GT hs just done 600 miles, I am a bike instructor and we have a factory trained technician on site at the bike school.  He has changed the oil and filter for me but the spanner light remains on, Oil and Rider service settings set to off.  He has stamped the service book do you know if the dealer will charge for resetting the spanner light and/or disabling it?

Has to be turned off by a dealer, depends how well you know him if he charges or not.
