Welcome Adeian, I am here in southeast Aurora. You will find that your V1K Gen 3 will do wonderful in the tight twisties in the foothills and also on the long straights out east. What part of Denver are you in and what dealer did you purchase your bike from?

    Hey Chuck,

I'm up in Old Thornton about 84th and I-25.  I'm already looking into my first trip up in the mountains. Thinking Estes Park to Grand lake and back.  I want to get a little more used to it though, it's a bit different than the FZ-07 I've been riding.

I got it up in Longmont at Elite Powersports.  I'd been looking for a new bike for a while and finally decided on a Concoure but they are don't seem to exist in the USA anywhere.  Then I was looking at the FJR1300 but ran into the same problem.  Then I noticed this one and there were 2 available.  :)   So far I think I made the right choice.  Just got back from a 50-mile ride around town and I'm loving it.  I'm having a little trouble with stop lights on hills but I just need to get used to it.

I've always hated those intersections and have found that keeping my foot on the brake, while in first gear, bringing the revs up to 2,000 and letting the clutch out slowly usually works fine.
